It started with Geoff Graue and I in Bowling Green, Ohio – with just two guitars. Adding players one-by-one, we eventually ended up as a six-piece. It was the mid 60’s, early rock n’ roll, Yardbirds, Stones, and Motown – played mostly at school dances and frat parties at BGSU. Another fun gig was at the American Legion in city park. Ah, the formative years!
The Fugitives roster:
- Dan Dunn – keys
- Geoff Graue – guitar
- Michael Loomis – guitar
- Phil Wohler – bass
- Jerry Ryland – vocal
- Dave Moon – drums #1
- Ron Moyer – drums #2
- Rick Bressler – drums #3

Hi, Jerry! You do remember, don’t you, that we were known in some circles as “Jerry and the junior highs”. Good to re-connect, my friend.
Great stuff Michael. I’m gonna say that “Jerry and the Junior Highs” was before my time
.
And rightly so. Thanks for checking in, Ron.
I have never seen these epic photos!
